Rates Effective July 1, 2008

A.Curbside Cart Service - (95 gallon) All household wastes to be placed inside of container along with (64 gallon) recycling cart, both collected from curbisde.,Cost $19.25 per month and billed at $57.75 per quarter. Additional carts are available at $11.50 per month per cart and billed at $34.50 per quarter.

B.Curbside Cart Service for Yard Wastes - (95 gallon) All yard wastes (grass clippings, brush and tree pruning) to be placed inside container and collected from curbside, cost $11.00 per month and billed at $33.00 per quarter.

BASIC INFORMATION: Collection crews begin their routes at 7:00 a.m., October 1st, through June 10, and at 6:00 a.m., June 15th through September 30. The driver may not always begin collection in the same area, so be sure to have your waste out and ready for collection by the appropriate time. Containers shall be placed on such personal property as a driveway, lawn, or similar area, NOT ON SIDEWALKS.

PLACE  CARTS: -WHEELS AGAINST THE CURB  --OPENING FACINGTHE STREET  -3 FEET APART FROM PARKED VEHICLES --DO NOT BLOCK THE BIKE LANE OR SIDEWALK

Place the containers' wheels in the street, against the curb with the cart opening facing the street no earlier than 5 P.M. prior to the day of pick up. The carts should be 3 feet apart and at least 3 feet from parked vehicles. Per city code, remove carts no later than 7 A.M. the day after pick up. Carts must be removed from the street

Please keep all yard waste piles, vehicles and other objects away from the front of the containers so that the trucks can reach them. Do not block the bike lane or sidewalk.

ALL GARBAGE AND HOUSEHOLD TRASH MUST BE PLACED IN THE CART.  DRIVERS WILL NOT PICK UP ANY EXCESS DEBRIS LEFT OUTSIDE OF CART.

HOUSEHOLD WASTES:  All wastes must be placed in metal or plastic garbage cans with tight fitting lids or in the (grey) 95 gallon cart provided by DWR. Garbage cans will be serviced from the ground level only, sunken cans will not be serviced. Contents of 95 gallon cart should not exceed 200 pounds or the maximum weight listed on the actual cart.

YARD WASTES: Those customers opting for this service will be provided with a 95 gallon "green cart" to be used exclusively for yard waste materials (grass clippings, brush and tree prunings.) "Green carts" whose contents have been contaminated (household trash, plastic bags, rocks, soil, concrete) will not be serviced. "Green carts" will be serviced on your regular garbage and recycling day. When you have large volumes of prunings or leaves call us for special pickups.

HOLIDAY : Our drivers work all holidays except Christmas Day and New Years Day. Collection for these 2 holidays will be one day later than your usual day.

BILLING: Is done quarterly for services already rendered. A minimum finance charge of $5.00 will be applied to all delinquent accounts.
